In the folder tree on the left side of the window I can also select a folder and see it highlighted in the block view, which shows me how much space that whole folder's taking up. If I've been working on a bunch of stuff involving big files, or if I'm just doing a periodic house-cleaning, this lets me quickly see what files are taking up the most space (disk images, for example) and send them to the trash straight from the program. Clicking on a block shows you detailed information, including that file's name, exact size, and location. After scanning your hard drive, it shows all of its contents to you all at once as a window filled with blocks, where larger files are represented by larger blocks. This program is exactly what I needed to free up space quickly on my Mac!
